Menomonee Falls Music Hello Rome Families!
Several reminders and announcements for you!
1.) Our next Rome rehearsal is on November 18th from 6-7:30pm. Please make sure your student is practicing this music at home and has cleared their schedule to be available for this as it is our final rehearsal.
2.) As we had you reserve December 9th as an “if needed” rehearsal we have decided to use that as a send-off performance open to parents, friends, and family. We will not be dressing up for this performance but wanted to give you the option to hear the wonderful music that will be performed in Italy! We ask that students arrive by 6pm and we will begin our performance at approximately 6:15 in the auditorium.
3.) Instruments that are being shipped will be picked-up on either December 16th or 17th. It will be important that student have all necessary items in their cases and any unnecessary items cleaned out. Students will NOT have access to these instruments until we arrive in Italy.
4.) We will be sending a final packing reminder slip via email and hard copy to your student during the first week of December as well as discussing these details and travel tips in class. *A reminder that our performance attire is all black and is as follows:
Rome Attire for Women: Black dress tops (long sleeved or ¾ sleeved, NO BARE SHOULDERS OR ARMS ALLOWED), conservative necklines, black full or knee length skirts/dresses (NO BARE LEGS OR SHORT SKIRTS), or black dress pants, black tights, black dress shoes (flats or appropriate heels).
Rome Attire for Men: Long sleeved button-down black dress shirt, black dress pants, black belt, black dress shoes, black socks (no patterns or stripes on anything).
*Please see the attached document for examples of appropriate attire for women and men as well as reasonably affordable options that can be purchased on amazon.
5.) Trip participants will need to arrive at MFHS at 10:30AM on December 28th. Please make sure your passport is easily accessible as we will be collecting them as each participant boards the bus. More details to come soon!
